Reviews for the DTV movie The Invincible Iron Man, Six episodes of the Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, Dr. Seuss' Butter Battle Book, Horton Hatches the Egg and Daisy Head Mayzie cartoons, the Stephen King novel Eyes of the Dragon, and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #676.

Two quick things before I begin. The Iron Man movie is a complete turd. If this painfully "adult oriented" storytelling is what we can expect for the upcoming DC Comics DTVs than I am looking even less forward to them.

Two: Butter Battle Book is AWESOME. Ralph Bakshi directed and produced it and got together most of the big names from his staff at Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures including Tom Minton, Jim Reardon and Kent Butterworth. Mighty Mouse: TNA needs a DVD release NOW. It's top of the list of things that I want released on DVD, even ahead of The Zeta Project.

Oh, and for the record, The Powerpuff Girls "The Fight Before Christmas" is one of the worst and most disturbing Christmas specials EVER.

Dang, this is a shame. He was only in his early seventies. I watch reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond on weeknights and Frank was pretty much my favorite character (not to mention the only character on that show that didn't bug the crap out of me). I also loved his turn in The X-Files' "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" as a down on his luck pre-cog who could foresee people's deaths. That was one of my favorite X-Files episodes ever and one of the best guest roles the series has ever had. I'm really sad that he died. I hope he rests in peace.

Lesse, today I went out with my dad. I picked up Christmas presents for Melissa, Bill and my Mom. I also went to the comic book shop and picked up some recent Angel and Spike comics, the second issue of Gargoyles, the final Donald Duck Adventures, the one shot "Mickey Mouse and Blotman in Blotman Returns" and the latest issue of Justice League Unlimited. My comic book guy accidentally gave me the latest issue of The Batman Strikes instead of Teen Titans Go. Hopefully I'll like it.

The DVD of Mickey's Christmas Carol came in the mail and I picked up three plushies at the Disney store: a small Todd and a small Copper from The Fox and the Hound and a Snow White rag doll.

My mom has a hard time using the computer and figuring out technical things since her brain aneurysm thirty years ago. I helped her use the WordPad program so she can type letters on the computer without losing them. I'm glad she is starting to figure it out.

I'm tired. I'll think I'll watch my bubble volcano.

Long Day

Good day. I went out with my father today. I got JLU actions figures of Huntress, Vigilante with his pistol and lasso and Orion with his rocket sled. I also picked up the How the Grinch Stole Christmas cartoon on DVD. I'll watch it this Christmas.

Very tired. I'll be commenting in my journal a little more tonight and then I'll go to bed. Yawn.

Reviews for the latest issues of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories and Uncle Scrooge below the fold. (Spoilers)

I splurged on my monthly goodies today and since next month is Christmas today is probably going to be the last day until after the holidays that I get to spend money on. A lot of stuff I got today was on sale.

I got two issues of the JLU comic, the latest Teen Titans Go with Wonder Girl, Mickey Mouse Adventures #12, Walt Disney's Christmas Parade #4, Mickey Mouse and Friends #293 and #294 and Donald Duck and Friends #344 and #345. Reviews of the Disney Comics will be forthcoming.

I also picked up DuckTales Volume Two, Chip 'N' Dale: Rescue Rangers Volume Two, Gummi Bears Volume One and The Rescuers Down Under on DVD because they were on sale.

I got five new plushies: a Gary from SpongeBob, a Build-a-Bear dog I put in a Superman outfit that I named Krypto (because I can), and Disney plushies of Belle, Dumbo and Jiminy Cricket. All of this stuff was on sale or I'd have been broke for the month.

I had a good day. I got to see Melissa yesterday and we had fun. I love Melissa.

So apparantly Mickey Mouse and Friends, Donald Duck and Friends, Donald Duck Adventures, and Mickey Mouse Adventures have all been cancelled. I REALLY hope they get some titles to replace them because this only leaves two comic books (Uncle Scrooge and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories). I picked up the last issue of Donald Duck and Friends today along with the Halloween Donald Duck giveaway. I also picked up two issues of the new Spike miniseries Asylum and the latest issues of Teen Titans Go! and Justice League Unlimited. I got the final Starburst Edition of Farscape and plushies of Daisy Duck, Pinnochio, Ariel and Abby from Chicken Little at the Disney Store along with Big Bird from Build-a-Bear Workshop. I love my new plushies but I'm really bummed that FOUR comic book titles I read got cancelled.

I bought the Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Companion, Bone Volume Four: The Dragonslayer, the latest issues of Angel Spotlight, Teen Titans Go, Mickey Mouse and Friends and Mickey Mouse Adventures. I also bought a Justice League video game (the kind that plugs directly into your TV). I also picked up small plushies of Sebastian and Flounder from The Little Mermaid.
