Why exactly aren't The Little Mermaid: The Animated Series and Aladdin: The Series on DVD in box sets yet? I understand that most of the sales for The Disney Afternoon shows fizzled out on the second release but I would think Little Mermaid and Aladdin would be a different story because the source material (i.e. the feature films) are so well known amongst families. Not only would they get sales from fans of the shows but if the sets weren't too expensive soccer moms would pick them up for their kids even if they had never heard of them before. They'd certainly sell as well as all of those dozens of Disney Cheapquels they used to put out. What is the logic behind not releasing these? Help me out here.

By the way The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh should be released for the same reason although that might be a tougher sell because that show was aimed at slightly younger viewers. Still, there's no reason releases for TV shows based on cultural phenomenon like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Winnie the Pooh wouldn't sell like hotcakes.

Well Epiphany has passed so if I DIDN'T do a Christmas update soon I'd REALLY look pathetic. I had a pretty good holiday. Melissa got me a plushie Turkey from Build-a-Bear and a biggy floppy plushie dog and I got a $20 gift certificate for Amazon from my Julie-Sister (Which I used towards getting the fourth series of Doctor Who) and a small plushie Pooh. My dad got me the DVD Opus n' Bill in A Wish For Wings That Work along with a subscription to Walt Disney's Comics and Stories. My mom got my a big plushie Pooh, four plushie Cars (Lightning McQueen, Sulley, Woody and Buzz Lightyear), the DVD Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and a JLU Superman action figure (he comes with the Phantom Zone projector).

I got my older niece two plushie Beanie Babies (a Kangaroo and a Giraffe), the movie Peter Pan, and a plushie of the yellow robot from Yo Gabba Gabba. I got my younger niece a teething plushie and a My First Cookie Monster. I got my Mom the third season of The Waltons, My Julie-Sister and my Bill a gift card for Barnes and Noble and my Dad a gift card for Best Buy. I haven't gotten Melissa's gift yet (she's still on vacation) but it will be a plushie of some sort).

We had Turkey on Christmas Eve. Eggs, sausage and toast on Christmas morning and me and my parents went to Pizza Hut on Christmas day. It was fun.

I hope you all had good holidays too!

Oh, and Chris: I JUST got A Muppets Christmas: Letters From Santa in the mail! Thank you so much! I can't wait to watch it!

My friend from program got me a Ty Pluffies Snowman named Lil' Icebox.

Melissa got me a Plushie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and plushies of Hermey, Santa and Sam the Snowman from the same special as well as a Disney/ Pixar calendar. The Bridge also got me a $25 gift card to the Evil Empire... er, Wal-Mart.

My sister got me a twenty dollar gift certificate from Best Buy.

My Dad got me a plushie Pinnochio from Shrek which came with a plushie Gingy with a Candy Cane, along with a Giant Lounging Elmo and Chip 'N' Dale dressed in pirate costumes. He also renewed my subscription to Walt Disney's Comics and Stories.

My mom went overboard but luckily I knew she was going to so I got her a REALLY nice present too. She got me sixteen plushes almost all of them from the Disney Store. I got a plush Kaa from The Jungle Book, the dog Buster from the Annoying new CGI Winnie the Pooh cartoon (he's REALLY cute), Mike from Monsters Inc, along with a Golden Sleeping Beauty, Prince Philip and Small plushies of Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, and the three fairies (Flora, Fauna and Merryweather) from Sleeping Beauty. She also got me the Pixar Short Films Collection on DVD And two little dollar plushies (a tiny white bear and a tiny poodle).

I also got twenty dollars in spending money and supplies such as soap, washcloths, towels, and blank VHS tapes.

What I gave:

I got a 15 dollar gift card for my Dad from Best Buy.

I gave my sister a ten dollar gift card for Barnes and Noble.

I got a 40 dollar gift card for Barnes and Noble for my Mom.

I got a plushie Ty Pluffies Penguin name Waddles for Melissa.

I got a Ty Pufflie Unicorn named Castles for my friend at Program.

I gave two bags of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans to my Bill.

For my new Baby niece I got a machine washable My first Elmo. She's just starting to be able to see contrasts and she likes seeing it waved in front of her.

For my older niece I got Over the Hedge on DVD, a plushie Abby Cadabby Beanie Pal from Sesame Street, A Plush Cheer Bear Care Bear with DVD, and a Play-Doh Fun Factory set which she immediately loved and started to misbehave with. Kids.

Giving presents is even more fun than getting them. I just wish I had more money to spend. My Mom and Dad got me some really nice things and I'm worried I didn't spend enough on them. But I guess that's just what parents do. If you don't feel guilty they aren't doing their job. :P
