I learned something about myself today.

I care what people think of The Un-Iverse. I have mentioned elsewhere negative reactions are as valuable to me as positive ones, but this latest issue had me REALLY nervous. I guess I feel flippant whenever I feel the saga is going along fine and just fine.

At this point I'm upping my game beyond any point I've ever done. Will people notice and appreciate that? Or am I actually wrong about how special all this is and they don't actually respond to it at all?

Am I wrong? Is this saga worth waiting for? Have I misjudged its value? Judging by how well the latest issue has been received, I think I have something here.

Here's something to get you excited. It gets MUCH better from here on out.

F.I.S.H. and Lace Doilies already created an upward trajectory in terms of scale and ambition for the story going forward. I think you don't have to be worried cos even if all you do is ride that momentum it will still be an interesting finale, and I KNOW you have more planned than that. The Dark Child saga reminds me of the highs of Gilda and Meek but with greater stakes.

I know I'm not as up-to-date on The Un-Iverse as your other fans, but I will say that so far, it's been extremely difficult to find anything noticeably negative about the series. Some uncomfortable moments, yes. But nothing that made me feel sickened or insulted.

All the same, the fact that you care what your readers think about The Un-Iverse is a testament to your respectability as a writer/artist of your own comic series. People like you aren't easy to come by, for sure.

After all, I don't give a comic the status of being "so unlike any comic I have ever read" for nothing. 😉👍🏾
