Good. All we need is Static Shock, The Zeta Project, and Gotham Girls (and the lost BTAS episode) and we'll have the entire DCAU on DVD. I wish it was coming sooner than March but I guess it's good for people to be able to save up their money after Christmas.

Static Shock and Zeta could use some DVD sets.

But come now. Gotham Girls should still be available on the net, and those video game cutscenes require a HUGE leap of faith to call them a lost episode. It most certainly is nothing of the kind. (how come Batman Vengence's cutscenes, featuring the real voice actors, are never considered to add up to a lost episode?)

Although, I'll proffer a compromise: I'll consider those video game cutscenes a "lost episode" and ask for them, if you concede that Brainiac attacks COULD be considered canon.

Well, I've never actually SEEN the lost episode so I don't know for sure. And of course Brainiac Attacks COULD be seen as DCAU canon but I just don't think it is. If it ISN'T a lost episode then I have no problem with it not being released on DVD.

As for Gotham Girls still being on the net BTAS and STAS are on Boomerang. Does that mean we shouldn't have gotten sets of either show because they were available elsewhere? ;)

Really? the lost episode was and still is available on the net. Toonami Arsenal or something. When all this "lost episode" claptrap started, I dutifully downloaded it and checked it out...

And it's horrible! Stupid! It really is just a collection of video game cutscenes, that add up to something damn near unwatchable. I don't want to see that thing, in any form, ever again!

Dude, you really need to see stuff and know what you're talking about before demanding it.

I wasn't demanding it, I just think it would be neat to have so I can see it. I haven't been able to locate it on-line.

By the way, I'm a guy who wants EVERYTHING to be in continuity including Superfriends and The Batman. I think I could accept Brainiac Attacks if the DCAU did some kind of multi-universe spanning Crisis dealie (with cameos from Krypto, Duck Dodgers and Scooby Doo). I would LOVE BA to be canon. I just can't accept it in the same universe as the DCAU. Parallel universe? Yeah!

Wow, so it's really going to go down in March, huh? What a journey, what a ride!

We really need to bring back the Save the DCAU campaign. I've been terrible about it.

The DCAU doesn't need saving. It's a wonderful product!

Silly Style! I meant so we could get new DCAU stuff eventually! :)

Wait, so they can use "Legion of Doom" on the DVD blurb and promotional material, but weren't allowed to use it in the actual show? Fricking DC!

They weren't allowed to use it on the show? I didn't know that! Where did you hear this?

b.t. discussed it on the toonzone board. DC said they couldn't use the name. I don't exactly remember why, but IIRC DC thought the name was regarded as corny. If so they're stupid, because Legion of Doom may be corny, but it's far more memorable than Secret Society, and rolls off the tongue much better as well.

That IS stupid. Legion of Doom is a VERY cool name. At least it will be on the back of the set. And is it just me or have DC's decisions regarding their TV properties been incredibly dumb? The Bat-Embargo, the Aqua Embargo, No LoD, No Bruce Wayne on Smallville, no Ra's or scarecrow on The Batman, Superman not being able to reveal his secret to Lois on JLU. What is up with them?

It wouldn't be impossible but the interactive stuff would need to be reformatted a bit. It definately could be done.

I hope there are more Hanna Barbera sets too.

All the Critic webisodes appear on the DVD set. Sure, the movements aren't as fluid as normal animation, but it's still watchable.

Yeah, I've seen webisodes of stuff on TV before and they look fine. I think a Gotham Girls disc would be wonderful.

That's how I take it Matt, Brainiac Attacks takes place in one of many parallel universes. One more won't hurt the space-time continuum.

I guess DC has a problem with pushing the envelope too much. They'd rather fall off the cliff than hang from it.

Yeah, I think Brainiac Attacks could fit in a parallel univers and that's been my theoty too.

And DC really needs to stop being so wishy washy with their TV and movie properties. It's killing them and making them much less enjoyable.
