I picked ip Batman Beyond Season Two and Justice League Unlimited Season One today! I watched Initiation, For the Man Who Has Everything and Splicers right away. I am going to have a goodness marathon later tonight. I can't wait.

Jumping back and forth eh? That's cool. I tend to go through one and then the other. I just picked them up myself, and have watched most of the first disc of Batman Beyond. I gotta tell ya, it's a real treat having another volume of this show. It still holds up as my absolute favorite of the DCAU!

I was going to note this in a journal entry of my own, but it's neat that the final 2 waves of DCAU DVDs are paired JLU and Batman Beyond. They dovetail into eachother quite nicely. First for obvious reasons: crossovers. Batman II appears twice in the JLU volume, and on the upcoming Season 3 of Batman Beyond, we get to see the first appearance of the JLU ANYWHERE. Secondly, is thematic: Both series seem to be competing, (but then working together,) to give us the final word on the DCAU. And it's Batman Beyond's Far flung future and JLU's all together now spirit just go wonderfully hand in hand as a way of saying goodbye to everyone's favorite animated universe.

Expect a Batman Beyond review soon, and a JLU review slightly less soon.

Makes sense. And I still think Terry and Bruce are in the same position on the new covers. I like how Dwayne McDuffie still considers "Epilogue" the true JLU series finale despite the show having a third season. Works for me!

Where did McDuffie say that he still considered Epilogue the series finale?

During that JLA Universe chatroom. Now I wish I'd cut and pasted all his comments and saved them...

Wish I had been there. I wish someone had cut and pasted what he said too.

Awesome! I ordered them from Amazon. Right now the only action series I'm watching is Teen Titans, and I'm still going through X-Men Evolution. It'll be good to have BB and JLU along with those (I think I'll actually have seven DVD sets to get through, so I can watch one episode of each a week).

That's a lot of DVDs to get through. :D

I bought these two bad boys on Tuesday as well. I've only started on JLU with ther first two eps. But I watched all three of the special features. The commentary for "This Little Piggy" is the best DCAU commentary I've heard thus far. I hope to find some time to write a review for Animation Insider. I have to write one of Harvey Birdman Season Two, too. A little late, but hey.

The This Little Piggy commentary is great. It's really neat how much the producers really love that episode. I personally think all of the complaints against it (cough Matt Wilson cough) were patently ridiculous.

I still would have loved to have seen that Joker and Harley cameo though. :D

A rough storyboard like from ROTJ would have been enough.

Up to JLU Disc Three, it's so pretty. Damn my tv for not giving animation justice!

Yeah, but I keep reading about these glitches. My disc 2 of Batman Beyond cut off the last few seconds of the end credits of Revenent. Bummer.

I heard something about glitches but I avoided reading the thread because I dismissed it as the usual tz rhetoric complaints. :P

I hope my set is safe, I don't plan on cracking into it until next week sometime. The only glitch I came on is that the Theme Song special feature on the Return skipped, I'll have to try it on my personal DVD player.

These glitches are actually pretty widespread. I heard that yours has the Revenant thing too. At least this means I don't have to return it.

Oh no, I was just asking people who did have it. I haven't watched a single episode. I blame my life. But on the bright side, I did finish the JLU set. I noticed the "Divided We Fall" glitch, but it's not that much of a problem to me. It was pretty awesome with those last two eps, anyway.

I'll be finished with both sets today. I hope the DWF glitch isn't TOO noticable.
