Jumping back and forth eh? That's cool. I tend to go through one and then the other. I just picked them up myself, and have watched most of the first disc of Batman Beyond. I gotta tell ya, it's a real treat having another volume of this show. It still holds up as my absolute favorite of the DCAU!
I was going to note this in a journal entry of my own, but it's neat that the final 2 waves of DCAU DVDs are paired JLU and Batman Beyond. They dovetail into eachother quite nicely. First for obvious reasons: crossovers. Batman II appears twice in the JLU volume, and on the upcoming Season 3 of Batman Beyond, we get to see the first appearance of the JLU ANYWHERE. Secondly, is thematic: Both series seem to be competing, (but then working together,) to give us the final word on the DCAU. And it's Batman Beyond's Far flung future and JLU's all together now spirit just go wonderfully hand in hand as a way of saying goodbye to everyone's favorite animated universe.
Expect a Batman Beyond review soon, and a JLU review slightly less soon.
