Read this article telling fans to stuff the 'tude about James Gunn and DC because "He's our last chance".

https://www.cbr.com/sorry-dc-fans-james-gunn-last-chance-for-cinematic-universe/

I am aware of that. The fact that his tenure will PROBABLY be a failure gives me no illusions that the next guy will do better. If the DCU fails, DC will stop making movies for a few years at least.

I actually support that. That is what DC needs to do. At some point Marvel will need to do it as well. Put the franchises in hibernation and make people forget WHY they've gotten sick of them. That's what Star Trek did (for only a few short years) and now it's stronger than ever.

If I were DC I'd also do one or two live-action (broadcast network) TV shows a year and 2 or 3 kids cartoons just to keep the brand in the public consciousness. And that's it for a few years. None of this TV-MA streaming shit. Superman & Lois is the proper tone for live-action DC TV.

The execs will be like "We can't do that! It's like leaving billions of dollars on the table!"

How much money did Joker 2 wind up costing DC? Answer that question and see chasing bad money after worse is not the answer.

I don't give a shit about DC's Cinematic Universe. But by God, I'm not going to coddle any clear mistakes James Gunn is making just because "He's our last chance". I know he is. I am actually against DC doing movies right now.

Creature Commandos looks like a mistake. And it's right out of the gate.
