DCAU campaign: Part 2

I have heard some EXCELLENT suggestions (especially from James) and in order to get this campaign under way I think I need a little more information about other campaigns. I would actually like to ask GregX about the Gargoyles mass purchase day campaign and what that entailed as well as writing Amazon reviews. I think a combination of reviews, letters, a mass purchase date, and emails to DC could actually help.

More imput is need. Chris was kind enough to provide addresses for snail mail and email . Are there any other suggestions on what would make a good campaign?

Speaking of campaigns I called Walt Disney Home Video about releasing the third Gargoyles DVD set. I talked to a customer service rep and she told me that the marketing department takes all suggestions seriously and that is a part of what helps them determine what to release. I don't mind waiting for the music rights to clear. I'd like the next set to keep as much original stuff as possible. If that means we have to wait to get it, that's fine with me.

I'm really annoyed about the Gargoyles situation though.

Does anyone have a Save the DCAU website yet?

I was trying to get you and style92 to start a general purpose Live Journal Community, but wasn't seeing much interest in that.
You may want to start one just for this though. They're pretty easy to start from what I remember.

I say don't sweat the deatils.
Just come up with a good name, and jump into it.
Then do some shoping it around, in a non-spamy way of course.

Those sound like good places to start. If we want to imitate the Gargoyles thing, we need to encourage as much people as possible to buy the DCAU DVD sets (Batman Beyond, Justice League Unlimited) on the days they're released and then write reviews on Amazon. Like you said, a combination of all that and the letters will help.
