The first is political. Second is Un-Iverse.

So yesterday, the President of the United States literally said "I can destroy this country if I want to." And apparently that isn't front page news on par with 9/11 (or even the OJ trial).

Here's the thing. Trump isn't the actual problem. He would be a nonfactor and a nonissue if the media did its fucking job. Instead, the man with the nuclear football literally threatened to kill all of us and nobody cares. The rot doesn't start or stop with Trump. Even if by some minor miracle we were to win the 2026 and 2028 elections (which I have my doubts about) Trump being gone doesn't change the fact that the news media didn't bother warning the public when he just threatened to kill us. That's not on Trump. The problem is much bigger than Trump. Trump would be a nobody if this rot didn't put him where he is. Getting rid of Trump doesn't get rid of the rot.

Do you know what the top story in every other country but ours is? The Epstein Files. Royalty is fucking going to JAIL and the rest of the world is treating the story as far more horrifying than 9/11 for the sole fact that it is.

What is the U.S. media currently obsessed with? Savannah Guthrie's mom. The Epstein Files story is ready made to have any journalist who seriously tackles it win a Pulizter and our illustratuous liberal media is... downplaying it? Do I have that right?

This isn't about Trump. I don't think it ever was.

And thanks for pointing out the sickening irony:

- ex-Prince Andrew losing his title AND any hopes of succession, along with life in prison for dallying with Epstein and espionage crimes.

- Jair Bolsonaro convicted of insurrection against the Brazilian government and looking at HARD time behind bars. 27 years, I believe.

- ex-South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol convicted of insurrection against the government of South Korea, condemned to serve a life sentence behind bars.

And yet, for all the rah-rah about "We have a system of laws, and everyone is to abide by them, even presidents", America now has the laughable distinction of being unable to prosecute, much less CONVICT, a lame, orange-faced, perverted racist idiot who CLEARLY telegraphed an insurrection against the American government because of... political optics. Now, he defecates the Oval Office once more. The GOP oughta be THANKING Merrick Garland for royally fucking this shit up, but their shtick is calling for bloody murder, so...

I won't mask my utter disgust with America on this issue. Justice bent over backward and rewarded this cancerous person with full immunity, freedom to basically turn America into Trump-branded property while profiting due to non-existent conflict-of-interest statutes, invulnerability from prosecution for inciting assassination hits on politicians who "rub him the wrong way" and setting ICE on an ethnic cleansing spree. I know I don't even need to use the "If Obama did any of this..." argument; it practically answers itself.

I look at it this way: if a kid breaks the prized ceramic bowl belonging to his neighbor's dad by shooting it with an AK-47, the kid is disciplined and forbidden from ever touching the weapon again. The child is also barred from playing with the other kids for the blatant act of violence. You don't just shrug and give a useless deadpan "violence isn't the answer" speech and leave the kid to commit the same act again while also giving him some extra rounds of ammunition because hey. You don't leave the child open to terrorize the other kids on the block with that AK-47 because you THINK nothing bad will happen. And now ironically, the same chief justice that Trump literally thanked after desecrating the oath of office for all the king-like privileges he deliberately bestowed on him is now just another target of retaliatory, targeted death threats from Trump through the use of his ridiculously shielded social media hit job platform. John Roberts doesn't get to pretend he didn't see this coming; the fascist Republican experiment has been hard at work on this travesty for decades... an experiment he was instrumental in planning.

And yeah, I told Mom the same thing yesterday; Trump is at a point where the next attempt to hold him accountable would provoke him deciding to kamikaze America with the biggest nuke he can find. Mary Trump knew this and warned America a bajillion times. Stephen King knew this and warned America a bajillion times. Germans who remember when Nazi Germany lost World War II and learned of Hitler's narcissistic collapse knew this and warned America a bajillion times. All were ignored, while a morally bereft and statistically compromised "legacy media" stupidly chooses to focus on placating Trump for fear of cancellation, license revocation... or some MAGA nutjob who plants pipe bombs and mail bombs all over the networks' headquarters on orders from the Mad Obese Mouth-Frother. It's embarrassing at the least, and fucking infuriating at the worst.

Mom called Dad in Ghana to tell him not to forget our taxes. Inside, I'm scoffing. OUR taxes... yeah, right. Taxes we have to pay. Taxes that immigrants have been paying for... forever, and yet they're being targeting for ethnic cleansing anyway. But people like Trump? They don't even have to pay a measly amount. Many of them evade taxes altogether. Can't no court stop them anyway...

The Epstein scandal is the defining image of this institutional rot. Politicians from both the Republican and Democratic party are implicated in those files. Politicians from other nations are implicated in those files. Celebrities the world over are implicated in those files. And instead of having a moral compass to deliver long overdue justice and closure for all of the mentally and physically scarred victims of this web of international sin, America chose to politically re-violate all of them. America basically took the abuser role and decided the victims had themselves to blame for being at the wrong place and wrong time, while apologizing to rich powerful men who were afraid that they'd have to pay back even a fraction of their wealth back to the victims for damages.

This fact, along with the fact the aforementioned Bolsonaro and Yoel were inspired by Trump's actions on Jan. 6, 2021 to incite their own insurrections (Don Lemon was spot on calling the Brazil coup "Brazil's January 6th") leads back to the Original Sin America alone committed. Nazi Germany was inspired by the ideology of "Manifest Destiny" and the machinations of the seditious Confederacy. Much as it pains me to say it, America sponsored a lot of the mass violence over the ages while claiming to be the "better angels". Stevie Wonder put it plainly in his spoken letter to MLK Jr. after that blasphemous act from the whining, bloviating White would-be emperor in 2021:

"It is time for all to take the only stand. We cannot be afraid to confront a lie and a liar. Those in leadership who won't or don't acknowledge the truth should be held accountable. Dr. King, these times require courage, as they did when you lived and paid the ultimate price... We need a truth commission that forces this country to look at its lies. Without truth, we cannot have accountability. Without accountability, we cannot have forgiveness. Without forgiveness, we cannot heal."

Now Stevie Wonder resides in my parents' home country of Ghana. Go figure. My life mission remains the same, clearer now more than ever. If America thinks a bloated charlatan who thinks he's more powerful than God Himself is too much to even restrain in a straitjacket for day because of stupid-ass "optics" or "decorum", its asinine cowardice is not on MY conscience. I'm not responsible for reminding America's "guardians" to read the god-damned Constitutional definition of "threats foreign and domestic". And as a Black person, I DAMN sure don't owe this country any reverence, not when it'll keep hoping the untamed monster that is its founding principles will one day calm down instead of taking action without delay.

I'm glad you're still moving forward with the Un-Iverse despite this international historical clusterfuck. We gotta seek all the joy and fulfillment we can. ✊🏾
