Yeah, I totally feel you. I just got home from work about an hour and a half ago, and during our third period class my co-worker and class instructor brought up the news on the class television through Zoom on a laptop to share with the class. The problem I had with the video he referenced was that it was from coverage on Fox News. I don't care that the anchor was treating Malcolm-Jamal with respect for his role in "The Cosby Show", nor was I moved by them taking comments from a big Malcolm-Jamal fan.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner was indeed a big part of our lives growing up, and I loved him in "The Cosby Show" back in the day. But Fox News has no business pretending that they care about any Black celebrity in this country. They have mercilessly politicized everything about Blacks in America, going as far as to attack Anthony Mackie in portraying Sam Wilson/Captain America in "Brave New World" because despite backlash back in 2019 when Wilson inherited Steve Rogers' shield and throughout the entire run of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", all of a sudden Wilson was a "woke" Cap because racism was reinstated in January. For once, Fox News and its entire cult need to cut the bullshit of appreciating Black contribution to American pop culture. They hate us, and they've profited from that hate. They have no right to even speak Malcolm-Jamal Warner's name when they also support and defend the officer who took Breonna Taylor's life five years ago. A 24-hour jail sentence for a no-knock murderous cop because it was a Black woman's body that was riddled with bullets... Fox News should really piss off.

Yeah. I literally just saw a news story with Mom and Dad where Malcolm-Jamal spoke about how "The Cosby Show" was significant for both Black AND White Americans and had "really brought credence to Black people in entertainment."

I'm damn sure that Fox News would NEVER play that clip of Warner ANYWHERE on any program. Their job is not to provide meaningful insight into Black culture and its significance to American entertainment. It is to promote people like Daniel Penny and Kyle Rittenhouse for dishing out murder to Black activism and christen them as heroes and good Samaritans. How DARE they even bring this up -- it's almost as if they were mocking us. No, they WERE mocking us.
