RIP Paul Reubens

This one hits me hard. Pee-Wee Herman was my everything as a kid. Him, Ed Grimley and Mighty Mouse MADE Saturday Mornings for me in 1987-1988.
I will never forget how Gilbert Gottfried defended him after his first arrest. Another one we lost too soon.

I don't remember too much about Pee-Wee Herman's Playhouse back then, but yesterday I watched an episode of his show with some students in a class at my job. The positivity and unbridled joy the character radiated (and his signature laugh) undeniably touched so many souls. I am deeply sorry about his passing. It seems that a lot of trailblazers in the "make a world a better place" crowd have fallen this year. =("
