Legion "Chapter 27"

That was not as satisfying an ending as it could have been, but I think a common misconception people have about series finales is that they are automatically entitled to a satisfying one. This is an artsy fartsy high-end drama. It totally lends itself to not dotting all of the i's and crossing all of the t's. Did I wish we had seen the new timeline and everyone's new fates? Yes. Especially because I feel Aubrey Plaza and Hamish Linklater deserved to be in the series finale, and seeing their new lives would have done that. But ultimately, it's an unreasonable ask for this type of series to give me everything I wanted. I'll take the happy ending and like it. It's better than I've ever gotten from Twin Peaks.

I love that Farouk turns out to be the actual hero of the series. I also like that David's plan actually worked and turned out to be correct. The problem actually was that he was going about it all wrong, and needed a freaking intervention on that point. And Syd doesn't forgive David because she doesn't have to, as neither of those versions of themselves will exist. What I like about redoing David's life is that Syd was saying a few episodes ago that even if David stopped himself from doing the things he did like raping her, all he's doing is erasing the memories of everyone of him doing that. It's still who he is as a person. And the series gave us the idea that without Farouk inside him for 32 years, it doesn't have to be. I'd like to think that Baby David took Syd's advice to be a good boy. And even if I don't know for sure, I felt the ending was pretty strong anyways.

The visuals of the episode were great too, especially Farouk's revelation. I loved that bit.

I imagine many people will be disappointed they didn't get all of their questions answered. And I think it's a very foolish mindset for a viewer to assume they are entitled to that. A good, ambiguous show like this makes us put in some of the work ourselves. Whatever the future of the characters now is is entirely up to the viewer's imagination. And I like that I have that power, and that what happened isn't being spoonfed to me. And even if the ending could have been better or more definite, I liked it for what we got anyways. ****.

Teen Titans Go! "The Great Disaster"

That was creepy and confusing, and I had no idea what was actually going on. This was bad storytelling, pure and simple. *.

Scooby Doo And Guess Who? "The Scooby Of A Thousand Faces"

Wonder Woman does not lend herself to this show. At all.

The entire franchise is supposed to be science-based and the Lasso of Truth, Invisible Jet, and Themyscria fly totally against that. And Velma isn't even allowed to say so.

Plus, I can't really believe the idea that Wonder Woman isn't allowed to train men. She'd have to train male recruits in the Justice League, right? This is not a rule I've ever heard her say before.

Like Funky Phantom, this was a wrong choice for a guest star. **.

American Dad! "No Weddings And A Funeral"

I didn't much like that. Too dark, and obviously non-canon, so it felt like a waste of time. I like that Jeff and Hayley had a reasonably nice future (not counting their sociopathic son) but not much else. Plus, I could see the moral coming a mile away.

Weak episode. *1/2.
