$30 is a pretty steep price. Is it possible that I can find these later on a Matty sale day or elsewhere?
Almost impossible if you ask me. Mongul already sold out except for customer service exchanges. Mattel specifically produced these figures in largely reduced numbers because the numbers they HAD produced them in weren't selling out. So in order to produce lower numbers, they had to raise the cost. Now this seems like a sucky situation but there are a couple of things to keep in mind:
1. The $30 price tag was originally going to be $50. ToyGuru found a way to make the numbers work for $20 less than expected.
2. These figures are being produced in SUCH small numbers that they will probably wind up being some of the rarest JLU figures in a couple of years. I'm talking Volcana 3-Pack, Secret Society I Six-Pack, or Legends Of The League Six-Pack scarce, so these could go for at least a hundred bucks on eBay in a short time. I am 99% sure getting these on Matty during the original sale is going to be as cheap as it is going to get. However since these WILL probably become collector's items you could look at them as a sound investment for the future.
