Also a review for the latest episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Doctor Who "Wish World"

It was a little much. And you know starting In Media Res didn't help things.

I liked Rogue's surprise appearance, but it was one of the few things I did like.

It's on-brand that the Doctor is made to feel scared and ashamed for being gay. There is no part of Conrad that doesn't suck.

I notice Mel is clearing out a LOT of broken mugs to the curb.

This episode proves Ruby is a more useful Companion than Belinda is.

Bigger isn't always better, Russell T Davies. For somebody always going on about the importance of drama, he isn't very good at it. **1/2.

Law & Order: Organized Crime "Beautiful Disaster"

I loved Randall's reaction to being busted by Elliot: "Aw shit!"

I also loved Elliot telling the Sarge if he got between him and his son again he'd kick the shit out of him.

Just calling it now: That Sarge is a bad cop and Stabler's team are gonna have to bring him down at some point. Would make a good personal story for Eli.

Elliot is right that Eli crying in his sleep is a good sign. I'd be more worried about him if he weren't.

Joe Jr. making direct contact. Little disappointed Elliot didn't pop up in a sting.

I think out of all of the Law & Order cops I've seen on all of the series I've seen, Vargas is the least threatening. Like he's the only one of them without ANY edge to him. That actually makes him a bad fit for the series, but it also lets the viewer know he's innocent the entire time. Stabler described Tanner's interrogation of him like kicking a puppy and that's right.

I love how Stabler says Organized Crime was obviously called because Tanner wanted their help, and he'll get their teams set up. Before she can sputter that's not what she was asking for, he's in charge. Next time, don't kick the puppy. This is what that gets you.

Good week. ****.
