I'm tired of this Snow White backlash.
Mar. 14th, 2025 06:02 pmI just don't give a fuck. I understand why people talked shit about Warner releasing The Flash movie. Ezra Miller was accused of serious crimes and handled it shittily.
Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot have unpopular opinions. And while I disagree with Gadot's, I don't actually with Zegler's, and am wondering when the fuck society decided all actors in the world have to have popular opinions with everybody else or the work itself, which has nothing to do with that, will be trashed.
If that's the actual standard, I wish I could play that card against Jon Voight and Tim Allen. They'd never work again, which would suit me just fine.
The only person whose complaints about Snow White that feel legit are Peter Dinklage's. But that's not exactly a complaint Disney can change, is it? Because when Zegler pointed out the original was problematic, she's actually right. Not artfully said to that movie's many fans, and there IS, in fact, something obnoxious about the star of a remake talking shit about the original to build up their own version.
But Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs is an incredibly overrated movie, which despite the ground-breaking animation, is filled with sloppy and dated characterization, a trite script, unfunny humor, lackluster songs, and it's just fucking boring all the way through.
Don't tell me Zegler is trashing a sacred cow. I've actually seen it.

He is too dangerously incompetent to be allowed where he is. I have never seen a bigger betrayal of the Democratic Party in my lifetime. What infuriates me is it was an unforced error! I am willing to entertain the debate about whether with Trump is where is he is if it's actually too dangerous to engage in a shutdown right now. Sure, there is a good point to be had there.
What Schumer did instead is unilaterally disarm with NO input from Dems in the House and shat over the entire base. Hell, the shutdown still could have been avoided if Schumer wasn't so fucking stupid and bad at his job. What he did instead is make sure Democrats, and yes, VOTERS blame HIM for SNAP and Medicaid cuts. And they actually should!
With no fight, and a preemptive surrender that even Nancy Pelosi thinks is bullshit, Schumer just made our job of getting people to believe there is a difference between Democrats and Republicans that much harder. And if we're just using Schumer as an example, there really isn't a difference! He fucked us ALL over.
At their worst Krysten Sinema and Joe Manchin never did as much damage to the entire Democratic caucus as Chuck Schumer just did. I will be calling Senators Markey and Warren all this week to insist they publicly call for his resignation.
You think America is just gonna have to live with cuts to the social safety net because of some nebulous unproven threat to Democracy? You ought to sacrifice your cushy job first, Chucky.
Here is how you know Schumer is full of shit that a shut-down is what the Republicans want, and would use it as an excuse to grab full power and completely destroy what was left of America: If that was true, Republicans would have the votes to stop the budget resolution themselves! They'd gleefully shut the government down if that was either the actual plan or actually feasible! Them gleefully watching as Schumer played right into their hands instead says Schumer is full of shit, an idiot, or most likely both.
Trump complimented Schumer today. The Lincoln Project says if you are a Democrat and were just complimented by Donald Trump, you just fucked up. My perspective about Trump doing that is more cynical. I don't think Trump is showing genuine appreciation for Schumer. He's a sociopath. They don't do appreciation. What he's doing is twisting the knife, because he knows any kind words he offers will drive the wedge even further between Schumer and the base he just betrayed. And it's Schumer's fault entirely for being stupid enough to give him the opening to do that!
Let me offer a slight correction for The Lincoln Project. If you were just politically outmaneuvered and outplayed by Donald Fucking Trump's cunning and savvy, you fucked up. That was not an actual compliment from Trump. That was skillful political knife in the back. From a political hack like Trump who possesses ZERO actual political skills. But you don't need skill to kick an asshole when he's down, and essentially destroyed his entire career for nothing. Again how fucked up is it that Schumer gave that assclown the opening to do it in the first place?
