This is without a doubt the hardest artwork I have ever done in my life.

It looks great so far (knock on wood) but this is time-consuming and more difficult than anything I have previously attempted. I sincerely doubt that even in The Terran Wars I will be forced to create artwork as hard as this.

Expect lots of smudges in the final issue. The eraser is getting a workout.

UPDATE:

Three hard pages tonight. Two nights in a row (which is promising). If I keep up this pace, the issue will probably be finished and posted at BlogSpot within 2 weeks. I hope.

I've talked to Candice.

She's biracial and has much more at stake than I do. And she's observed that on Black Twitter folks are telling people this is white people's mess and they will need to clean it up themselves. They are done saving us from ourselves and getting nothing in return.

I understand this completely. I'm not Black but the fight has gone completely out of me. I am disgusted with America and its people, and don't give a shit about fighting anymore. Right now my priority is surviving.

But Candice said a true thing. She said she understood this instinct entirely. But the sad fact is if nobody does anything, what we worry about WILL happen. And we'll have let it happen.

Part of me doesn't care at this point. But I might if things start going bad and I find there is something I can do about it. I don't want to be the good man who stood back and let it happen.
