Riverdale: The Final Verdict
Dec. 21st, 2019 10:42 pmI have made a decision. And it's one I don't make lightly. I've decided I'm done with Riverdale entirely and I won't be watching the spin-off at all either. I don't drop shows very often and I never do it in the middle of a season, but I've had enough. It's takes about 45 minutes to watch a show I detest, and another hour to an hour an a half to write a detailed review about why it sucked. And I assume the same thing will be true for Katy Keene. I can do a ton of extra stuff with four extra hours to myself a week. I can read. I can work on my comic book. I can stream stuff I need to get caught up on. But I'm dropping Riverdale because I am putting more work into it than I am getting out of it.
I assume there are some people who lurk who enjoy reading my exasperated reviews because they enjoy my pain and grief. To those people who like hearing me suffer and have never seen the show I offer this final word of advice: Stay away. I am not exaggerating. For once you are reading reviews on the internet about how bad something is that aren't overstating it. Whether I watch it or not, the show will never improve or turn over a new leaf. It is an abomination on every level, and I truly mean that. Save yourself several seasons of grief and never binge this suckfest. You will thank me if you don't, and regret it if you do.
To all the cast and crew of Riverdale who have made the show what it is over the years, I have one last thing to say to all of you: I hate each and every one of you with a red-hot passion. You have made my life measurably worse every week and taken and wasted time I will never get back. You are talentless actors, writers, and producers, and I will go out of my way to avoid every single thing you are involved with in the future. The notable exception is Madchen Amick in case of more Twin Peaks, but for everyone else, I see you as the unprofessional bad actors and writers you are. Screw every last one of you. You make me sick.
