Thinking about Toon Zone recently.

Been rewatching The Simpsons 16th season and whenever I watch this era of the show Toon Zone is never far from my mind. Boy, did they call THIS wrong. There are some truly fabulous episodes on this set. I'd put Midnight RX against ANY episode of the Golden Years. I'll have a review up shortly but I kind of have a question on my mind that wouldn't be appropriate to voice in a review.

Whatever happened to Matt Wilson?

I could not STAND that jackass and think him being blacklisted in the animation industry was too good a fate for him. His entire posting shtick was basically to badmouth every single TV show and movie he watched and to let those of us who DID enjoy say, the second season of Justice League, know that we were all lower life forms for doing so. He was WAY too good for the garbage he somehow found time to watch on a weekly basis. And he was pretty much the only person who gave The Batman's premiere a positive review so you know he only pulled that crap for attention and didn't really have any critical principals.

Do you know what bugged me the most? How much everybody loved him. You would not believe some of the completely mild and random things I got severe warnings for after I pointed out the DC Board's Mod's racism towards Dwayne McDuffie (which I now regret apologizing for) but Wilson got away with murder. He was even made a freaking MOD which made absolutely no sense since many of the fights that were started were instigated by him.

I once saw someone on the board asking what his appeal was and one of the other Mods said "He eats trolls for lunch." That is so inaccurate it would be funny if it weren't so sad. Matt Wilson WAS the troll. Full stop. And he got modded for it.
