The Annoying Post

I've been putting off my traditional New Years posts because I wasn't in the mood but considering the absolutely foul mood I am in today I would be doing a disservice to my journal if I didn't rant about the ten most annoying characters on television while I am so angry.

I'll also talk a bit about some annoying TV shows and trends I've noticed as well as one annoying politician in general, so it will be a combo post.

Note to self: do NOT talk about your mother, or Greg X, or any other real-life person you know who makes you angry. You will not say anything smart.

Mitt Romney

Here's a real life person I DON'T personally know although considering the state of disaster he left Massachusetts in after he left office, I feel like I do. But the dude is annoying. And running for President. If you DON'T want to see this cretin get elected spread around the following two links far and wide.

Here is an attack ad/film about Mitt Romney by a former Romney aide that Newt Gingrich bought the rights to. If Mitt Romney gets the nomination AND this goes viral there is no way he can win the general election so if you're like me, and want to see Obama get re-elected spread these two links far and wide.

The absolute brilliant thing about this is it's Newt Gingrich of all people attacking Romney from the left. Occupy Wall Street has moved the Overton Window back to a reasonable position and even right-wing dirtbags like Gingrich see the writing on the wall for how poor people view rich b******s.

Basically Gingrich went nuclear on Romney after all of his attack ads in Iowa and, presuming Romney gets the nomination, just handed Barack Obama the general election. And Obama and the Democrats didn't do a THING to get their hands dirty on the subject. The fact that this attack came from a conservative firebrand will just let the Obama campaign say, "See, even Newt Gingrich thinks Romney is a heartless extremist." You do NOT mess with Newt Gingrich, especially in such a personal manner. The dude is SO thin-skinned that he will impeach you if he doesn't get to sit in Air Force One. Let me just say how thankful I am he will never be president. I wouldn't want someone with THAT short of a fuse anywhere near the nuclear launch codes.

As one poster on Red State noted after seeing this video: "If Romeny gets the nomination I'll vote for Obama. At least that half-breed will tell you he'll screw you to your face". Ouch. Reminds me a bit of "Bush Loses Core Supporters".

The other story is even sicker and speaks to people on a different level. There are a TON of Republicans out there who will vote for Anybody But Obama but a LOT of those voters are animal lovers. Romney's little known animal cruelty exploits, if they are made more high profile could get droves of Pubs to sit out the general election. I cannot imagine voting for ANYONE after reading this particular story. Heck, if I found out Obama ever did something like this I wouldn't vote for him either. It speaks to a fundamental lack of decency to do what Romney did to his dog.

Romney has admitted the story is true. Some of the details have changed (at first there was a car wash involved and then there wasn't) but Romney is actually proud of the incident and thinks it somehow speaks to his ingenuity. I keep thinking Independent voters will hear this story and see the Obamas' Christmas card with Sasha and Malia with their arms wrapped around Bo the dog getting warmed by the fire and the contrast will be stark. As much as I hated GW Bush, one of the most charming things about the man (I can't believe I'm typing this sentence) was the way he and his whole family doted on his two dogs. It was the one genuine decent glimpse into ANY sort of humanity Bush must have hidden deep down on every other issue.

Basically Mitt Romney is Clark Griswold. And I don't wanna spend the next four years with Chevy Chase as President. I couldn't even watch his Fox talk show past the first five minutes of the premiere.
