I don't think all Republicans are stupid. Far from it. But the thing that REALLY bothers me is poor or working class people who keep voting these crazy politicians into office either based on some wedge culture issue that really doesn't matter in the big scheme of things, or even worse, people who vote in these crazies based on their stupid economic policies.

I vote Democrat. Not because I think the Dems are perfect or that all of their policy positions match my own. I vote Democratic because I am poor and disabled and if the Republicans had their way I'd be homeless with no health care. I don't vote against my own interests.

I understand rich people who vote Republican. I don't like it, but I understand it. Most of these people are greedy, selfish, Libertarian buttholes who wouldn't give a homeless person a glass of water if they were on fire. But that's human nature for a lot of people and it's something that if I don't agree with, I at least understand HOW there can be people as selfish as this.

It's the Republicans who are poor who think tax breaks for the wealthy are great ideas that infuriate me. They are like chickens voting for Colonel Sanders. They all believe they are one winning lottery ticket away from being multi-millionaires themselves and they don't want to POTENTIALLY pay any hypothetical taxes that could arise. It's magical thinking at it's finest and it's a big part of the reason our country is as screwed up as it is. Idiots are the mot reliable voting block in this country and if they stayed home in 2008 we can't expect them to keep doing that.

2010 looks to be a potentially bad year for Democrats. And that just isn't right.

Hmmmm.
