I loathe Micheal Scott

I once said he was almost as annoying as Peggy Hill but since then I've been proven wrong. He's ten times worse.

Peggy Hill, for all of her faults as least tries to do what she believes is the right thing. Granted she's the stupidest character on King of the Hill so what she believes is the right thing is often bunk but her heart is usually in the right place.

Micheal Scott has NO such redeeming qualities. Everything he does he does for his own misplaced sense of ego. I was absolutely appalled that he promised to pay for 11 kids college education and only admitted that he couldn't do it at the last possible moment. It was easily the worst thing he has ever done and now I have zero sympathy for him anymore. The guy is a now officially a monster with no humanity left. An unfunny annoying monster at that.

The sad thing is that it was completely in character and I bought it immediately. A LOT of people have criticised this plot twist as unrealistic and cartoonish but anyone who was willing to dump someone on their birthday after learning their age gets NO slack from me.

Ironically one of the things that annoyed me most about Peggy Hill was Hank's constant enabling of her which made it so that she could be as buffoonish as she pleased but never learn a lesson because of Hank protecting her. But now I realize I may not have given Hank enough credit. Not only was he protecting Peggy from herself but he was limiting the amount of damage she did to other people.

I think Micheal Scott needs a Hank Hill to keep him in check. But he'll never have one because no one can stand to be around him. The only person who likes him is Dwight and he treats him like garbage (although to be fair Dwight IS garbage). I'm sick of this character never getting what's coming to him. Did you see Erin trying to cheer him up at the end of the episode? Inexcusable. I wish Pam had gone with him to that school as she would have rightly reamed him for being such an ahole and a coward. There is no upside to Micheal Scott and after last week he officially became the most annoying character on television.
