First off, they have an article provovactively titled "V's Anna = Obama?"
http://popwatch.ew.com/2009/11/06/is-abcs-v-anti-obama-let-the-debate-begin/
The rest of the article is nowhere NEAR as incediary as the title but it still irks me. The question is whether or not V is a critique of the Obama Administration with Anna's charm and offering of health care to all. This is SUCH a bogus question (it's noted that Sean Hannity and Glen Beck are already saying they are fans of the show for this reason) but since conservatives ARE that stupid I guess it's something that CAN be talked about. I think the new series is a critique of the Obama Administration the same way the original was a critique of the Reagan Administration i.e. not at all. It's a common sci-fi trope for malevalent aliens "coming in peace" to offer to cure all of mankind's diseases and wars (To Serve Man, anyone?).
As if that's not bad enough, check out the comments from posters on the recap of The Office:

These morons are actually complaining about Pam's "attitude problem" over Micheal Scott screwing her mother and rubbing it in her face. Apparantly it's "her character" to be a doormat and let a butthole like Micheal ruin her wedding, horn his way into her family and dump her mother on her birthday (for the sin of being 58 years old) during her celebration.
Pam has been a saint on the show in the past but I disagree with the idea that she is meek and mousey. She knows how to stick up for herself and the people she cares about when the need arises and she personally knows what a horrible person Micheal can be (I think he's one of the worst characters on television). Pam is a "nice girl" but if she DID let Micheal get away with all of the garbage he's recently pulled with her family without slapping the poop out of him I'd have lost all respect for her.
Pam Beasley rules. Period.
I probably won't give up the site just for these two articles though. Doc Jensen's Lost recaps and speculation are an essential part of the viewing experience of Lost for me. I don't know if I'll keep visiting the site after Lost ends this year though (Although I'll still always read the awesome magazine).
