Bummer

Rahm Emmanuel just said on a Sunday talk show that the Obama Administration will NOT be prosecuting anyone for torture done during the previous maladministration. I kind of expected this to happen since this was never Obama's style but it's still very sad for me to hear. I think it's a big mistake and will just encourage the next Republican Presidency to go even farther than Bush did who went even farther than Reagan who went even farther than Nixon. Without accountability this will all happen again but probably even worse.

I know this is how Washington works (everyone covers for each other no matter what) but it's infuriating and I'm very disappointed in President Obama. I can't say I'm surprised but I was kind of hoping he would never completely rule it out as a way of keeping Republicans in check.
