LJ content strike on Friday

Okay, I've heard from Tamnonlinear that LJ is getting rid of basic accounts for new users and censoring search lists. I've never had any of the nonsense that the new LJ owners have done affect me yet but I'm worried once my paid account runs out (it was a gift), they'll switch me to Plus. It was bad enough getting ads that crashed my old computer on other people's journals, I won't tolerate having them on my own. I'm not doing ANY entries or comments on Good Friday and I urge on my friends to do the same. This is getting ridiculous.
