The upcoming live-action Snow White has a big lift.

Impossible really. They have to convince me Rachel Zegler is prettier than Gal Gadot. Not gonna happen.

I think Gadot was the worst casting choice for this possible.

Well, you have to remember that Snow White 2025 is the "ultra-progressive" and "forward thinking" take on the material that is likely going to push "Oh Snow White is so much prettier because of how much she cares and wants to do what is right for her people and fight back against the Queen's tyranny which is what makes her so fair while the Queen is wicked and only cares about herself." Like maybe the Queen would be considered more beautiful if you know she was kind but she isn't and that's where the whole conflict comes from.

I mean I'm not defending this movie at all still looks like total crap but that's what it's pushing for.

I read about how this "Snow White" adaptation was caught up in the Israeli-Palestian conflict last year, with Gadot getting particularly slammed on both ends of the deal because of her Israeli heritage. And Zegler, well... she got grilled by saying out loud what every same minded person in this country thought inside towards what would be THE illegitimate election of this century. She literally had to apologize to get off the heat.

But I agree with you on Gadot playing the Queen being a God-awful acting choice. I personally just can't see Gadot playing a villainess -- I don't know, maybe it's seeing her as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman back in the day.

If I'd been directing the film, I'd have shot two versions, one with the two main roles swapped round. So each star got the chance to play both Sbow White and the Evil Queen, and which version you saw depended on what screening you went to.
Also, I would've replaced Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot with Willem Dafoe and Burn Gorman.
