Lance and Otterman have similar arcs in that they are both redemption arcs. The major difference is that Otterman desperately wants it and is seeking it out. Lance is resisting it every step of the way, and only gets there reluctantly and after every other option has been exhausted.

Otterman renounces his villainy and wants to make up for it. Lance is having an extremely hard time even admitting he's been engaging in villainy. And that's the struggle and the turning point in The Dark Child Saga: The Fall Of F.I.S.H.. Lance admitting his sins and taking responsibility for them.
