I've been meaning to thank George Lucas for FINALLY putting out the original Star Wars movies in their uncut form on DVD. Now I already made a post similar to this when they first came out but Lucas doing this had an unintended benefit for me: I realized that even though movies like Star Wars were WAAAAYYYY down on my movies priorities list by buying these three I gave myself permission to buy OTHER movies that I enjoyed that were way down there too. I probably would never have gotten and enjoyed the Back to the Future Trilogy, the Jurassic Park Trilogy or all four Indiana Jones movies had I not started the precedent of skipping over certain things on my list I "had" to get first. I realized I didn't need to own all seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation on DVD if I wanted to pick up a cheap movie that caught my fancy.
