Well, Lois has ALWAYS been a skank. But Brian was supposed to be the moral center of the show. How can he POSSIBLY advise Peter not to do anything horrible after he tried to rape his wife?

The worst thing is that is was played for laughs. In a better show this could have actually been meaningful character development. In this show it was just demeaning.
