This has got to stop. I want to know at what point will people say "I've had enough" and actually take a stand against the neocon movement. You can paint Ann Coulter and her ilk as fringe as you want it doesn't stop the fact that she holds a lot of sway with the movement and that she represents everything they stand for.
What is the wake up call? Do the justices have to die in order for people to see what the movement stands for? Because at this point I don't think even that will change anything. People hold onto the belief that the neocons are out there representing Christians while they call us wackos behind our backs with a religious fervor.
When will people open their eyes? What will it take? Torture, spying, corruption, treason, lies, electoral fraud and propaganda have taught some people nothing. I want to know because I firmly believe these people are destroying our country and the very foundations that it stands upon. The last time people ignored these signs was Germany in the 1930s. And at least THEY had America to stop them. Who will WE depend on to make sure our freedoms don't go up in smoke?
I know some people will think that this isn't a huge deal considering the other crap the neocons have pulled but things are getting worse incrementally. Lies about Iraq and Al Queda? Well, Saddam was a huge threat anyways. Abu Graib? Awful stuff, but no-one actually DIED from being humilated and tortured. Warrantless wiretapping? Well, it's being done to keep us safe and I trust the goverment. At what point is enough enough? And when people finally say it will it be too late?
